our partner is a prestigious construction company with projects worldwide.
job description
o you are responsible for the organization, coordination and follow up of the transport and shipment of goods domestic and overseas;
o you prepare the parcels to be dispatched, and take care of the corresponding files and paperwork;
o you pursue the management of customs documents of the operations in relation with the issuance of the bond;
o you are responsible for the purchase of logistic services, including price inquiries, comparison tables and negotiations;
o you make pre calculation and estimations, and are responsible for budget control and file control;
o you will manage a team of 2 logistic assistants who help you in the daily business;
o you fully understand the operational targets of your department and draws an action plan upon them, which you translate in team members action plans;
o you are capable of analyzing complex issues, and if necessary you modify the prevailing methods in order to resolve them;
o you report directly to the group procurement manager.

who we are looking for
o you have a higher education degree, preferably within logistics;
o you have at least 5 years of relevant and international experience in a similar position;
o you are familiar with all different modes of transport and you have good knowledge how to deal with them and how to combine them in different ways;
o you´re rather high stress resistant; know to work under pressure and 're able
to find your priorities back within your workload;
o you have a good understanding of international business: purchase contracts, incoterms, letters of credit, bank guarantees...
o you have a very good knowledge of ict;
o you are fluent in french and dutch, and have a good working knowledge of english.
