Job offer: language teacher in buenos aires

ciclo is a foundation that dedicates itself to the diffusion of latin american culture, thereby attempting to contribute to a greater world wide intercultural understanding. the expansion and development of our objectives depends fundamentally on the collaboration of a diverse group of volunteers and employees. these positions are available to those who seek to culturally immerse themselves here in buenos aires while gaining valuable work experience.

we are looking for a

language teacher (salaried)

working hours: 40 hours a week
any background / nationality

* main tasks
. teaching languages for groups or individual students in our language center as well as outside the school, in our free educative programs developed by ciclo foundation in schools in impoverished areas
. developing tutorial materials
. translations
. office work / administration tasks related to lessons and the international cultural exchange program

the position will be directly related to the executive direction, program direction and tutoring and training teams of the foundation.

* necessary skills
. fluent (native or not) in english and german, and preferably also in french (or possibly italian or portugese). it is necessary that you master these two or more languages at an advanced level in order to teach them for different levels (beginner to advanced)
. age: between 26 and 40 years old
. mastering an extra language is a plus!
. extroverted person willing to teach
. enthusiastic, good with people, [patient,] goal-oriented and willing to work within a team
. interested in cultural exchange and a flexible mentality to adapt to other cultures
. spanish or english is required in order to receive instructions in one of these two languages

* required background
. preferably a university degree in education/foreign languages/translation or a minimum of one year of teaching experience
. having complementary studies or practical knowledge issues related to didactics, teaching
. knowledge of communication tools and internet
. excellent use of microsoft office

* required experience
experience in teaching formally and informally
